The Quest For Health and Wellness

October 15th, 2011

Today’s world has placed a whole new focus on health and wellness. This is in part due to the baby boom generation growing increasing older, and many entering the realm of senior citizen. It is also due in part to the many health disorders that are affecting more and more young people. Many of these disorders were seldom heard of just a few decades ago, but seem to be rapidly increasing as the years go on.

The terms health and wellness are very often used in conjunction with each other or sometimes one is interchanged for the other. However, the meanings are just a bit different. Health is defined as the physical state of being, and it depends on a variety of factors such as heredity, food choices, environmental factors, physical fitness, amount of rest, and thoughts and emotions. Wellness is the process of maintaining overall good health. This entails conscious efforts to determine the condition of ones health.

When using the terms health and wellness together, it simply means that one is pursuing overall good health. They are often used when an individual is looking to promote a better way of life. They have also become a slogan in the hands of many marketers who are a number of aspects of the human endeavor. On the other hand, some people have embraced the whole attitude of a healthy lifestyle as they try to increase their health and wellness, while many companies busily rake in huge profits.

Four Simple Steps to Vital and Stress-Resistant Body

October 15th, 2011

Your body and mind are the instruments with which you will effectively create and also enjoy all that you need to be happy. If your body becomes weak or ill, you will not be able to effectively and dynamically manifest the abundance and happiness that you desire.

We are offering you four simple and easily employable ways of keeping your energy flowing freely, even when you are faced with challenging life situations. There is absolutely no reason to suffer physically because your external life situation is not as you would like it to be. You can remain positive and keep up your health and vitality. These simple guidelines are especially important when you are working many hours, sleeping less or dealing with stressful situations.

1. Fresh Food – Eat as naturally as possible. Make sure you consume plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables and, if possible, organic food without pesticides, hormones or other chemicals. Focus on whole grains as a source of energy and nutrition. Avoid lifeless or preserved foods as well as white sugar as much as possible.

2. Vitamin Supplements – During “testing times” you may need to take vitamins in order to strengthen your nervous system and mind. I would suggest that you consider taking a multivitamin for one month so as to insure that your nervous system has all the nutrients it needs; especially vitamin B-complex for the nerves and A, C and E for the immune system. Always read the instructions and admonitions on the labels before using.

3. Rejuvenate The Brain and Mind – Ensure a sufficient flow of blood, oxygen and nutrients to the brain; it is the control center for your nervous system and your mental processes. This is especially important because many people simply do not get sufficient blood flow to their brain, which then leads to less energy and clarity. We can ensure the flow of the blood to the brain by resting the head lower than the rest of the body.
